Taking Back Sunday did an acoustic Green Day cover at Webster Hall (video, pics, setlist)

Taking Back Sunday are on tour now, and the Long Island band just played two LI shows and two in NYC. They did a surprise 300-capacity show at the Long Beach Inn on July 12, Patchogue’s Great South Bay Music Festival the next day, and Webster Hall shows on 7/14 & 7/15. Both Webster Hall shows had nearly identical setlists, both including acoustic, Dylanesque covers of Green Day‘s “She.” Unlike on their tour last fall, where they played their new album Tidal Wave in full, the band mixed things up pretty well this time around, offering a career-spanning set with such faves as “Timberwolves at New Jersey,” “You Know How I Do,” “You’re So Last Summer,” “A Decade Under the Influence,” “Set Phasers to Stun,” “Liar,” “What’s It Feel Like to Be A Ghost?,” and of course, “MakeDamnSure” and “Cute without the E.”

The Webster Hall shows had direct support from Every Time I Die, who are joining them for most remaining dates on this tour. Modern Chemistry are on the current leg too. Pictures of the 7/14 show are in the gallery above. Setlist and a video of the Green Day cover below.

TBS also play Riot Fest and Sound on Sound.
