Technicolor Teeth released an album, touring (dates & stream)

Technicolor Teeth

If you’re not familiar with Wisconsin trio Technicolor Teeth, you may be aware of drummer Amos Pitch’s other band, Tenement. And while some Technicolor Teeth songs can pile on the distortion and angsty vocals, the hi-speed punk of Tenement is nowhere to be found. Their cassette full length, Can You Keep Me Out of Hell, which came out this week via Accidental Guest (and is only available at their shows), instead often pulls from the layered, swirling guitars of early British shoegaze and Spiritualized-style psychedelia. You can watch the videos for two of its tracks, “Blood Pool” and “Drips,” along with a full stream of the album, below. You may have already heard the closing track, “Nocturnal Remission,” on Accidental Guest’s Beyond Inversion compilation.

Technicolor Teeth kicked off a tour in Chicago last night (3/5), and they’ll be coming to NYC for show at Death by Audio this Saturday (3/8) for an Accidental Guest showcase that also includes the punk fury of Clean Girls, the industrial noise of York Factory Complaint, and the dissonant post-hardcore of Jail Solidarity. Next week, they’ll join 6 million other bands in Austin for SXSW.

All dates are listed, with the stream, videos, and flyers, below…
