The Bomb

The Acid performing 'The Bomb' at Tribeca Film Fest; Ry X readies solo LP (listen), playing National Sawdust

The Tribeca Film Fest is coming up next week, and while we’ve already highlighted some of the cool-seeming films and events going down as part of the festival, there’s another event that might be of interest to BV-readers.

Electronic trio The Acid are performing as part of a multimedia installation. The Bomb is the closing-night selection, and features the 55-minute film about nuclear weaponry projected 360 degrees in the space, with The Acid performing at the center. The performance happens four times at Gotham Hall on April 23 and 24, with shows at 7PM and 10PM. Tickets and passes for that event and everything else at the festival are on sale now.

Meanwhile, The Acid member Ry X is releasing solo debut, Dawn, on May 6 via Loma Vista, and he’s released a new song called “Deliverance” along with a video for new song “Only.” Check those out below. He’ll be performing at Brooklyn’s National Sawdust on April 20 which will be his first-ever solo show in NYC. Tickets are on sale.
