The Black Angels & A Place to Bury Strangers @ Brooklyn Steel (pics)

Austin’s superior psych purveyors The Black Angels are on tour supporting their terrific new album Death Songs, and hit NYC for a show at the brand-new Brooklyn Steel on Tuesday night (5/2). They kicked off the show like they do the new album, with “Currency” and played the lion’s share of Death Songs over the course of the evening, mixing in many older favorites. Setlist from Brooklyn Steel is below.
