The Caution Children releasing a new LP (stream "Psalms")

Florida’s The Caution Children are set to release their third LP, Safe Crusades / No Judgements / And Baby, the followup to 2011’s Unknown Lands (pay-what-you-want), on February 18 via Flannel Gurl (Dads, My Fictions) in vinyl and cassette formats. The band take an atmospheric approach to post-hardcore, bringing in elements of post-rock and shoegaze, and for the new record they’ve enlisted the help of Comadre’s Jack Shirley (Deafheaven, Joyce Manor), who’s proved to be pretty good at manning the boards for this kind of thing. On the album’s new single, “Psalms,” they do this as well as ever, matching the vocalist’s raw desperation with the band’s pure beauty.
