The Chills playing first NYC show in 20 years at NYC Popfest (full lineup: Trashcan Sinatras, Primitives, Allo' Darlin & more)

This year marks the 10th edition of NYC Popfest which will happen May 19 – 22 at venues in Manhattan and Brooklyn. The lineup was just announced and the Popfest folks have really outdone themselves for this benchmarck year, with performances by The Chills, Trash Can Sinatras, Allo’ Darlin, ’80s-era Factory Records band The Railway Children, Sarah Records labelmates Secret Shine, , and Even As We Speak, plus The Chesterfields, The Primitives, Alpaca Sports, Mercury Girls, The Hermit Crabs, Spook School, the live debut of Lake Ruth, and more. Festival passes are on sale now — individual show lineups and tickets announced soon — and the full 2016 lineup is listed below.

This will be the first NYC show for the The Chills since 1996, and their first U.S. show in 11 years. The New Zealand icons released the excellent comeback album, Silver Bullets, last year.
