The Cool Kids reuniting, but first Chuck Inglish playing NYC

Indie-rap duo The Cool Kids (aka Chuck Inglish and Mikey Rocks) have been on hiatus since 2012, a year after their proper debut album When Fish Ride Bicycles came out. Now, a reunion is confirmed. Chuck Inglish tweeted “I called Mikey and realized nothing would feel better than us being the originators again. The Cool Kids are back forreal,” followed by “The Hiatus is over. We missed being us. We refuse to let people down and not be the actual group. We been through too much.” Mikey Rocks retweeted Chuck and added “IM READY.” A rep for Chuck Inglish confirmed to Billboard that the reunion is in fact on.

Chuck Inglish said the group will get to work after he drops the new solo album he just finished. Stay tuned for that, but meanwhile Chuck will play a solo show in Brooklyn this Sunday (7/17) at Baby’s All Right with KING Z3US and Trevor the Trashman. Tickets are available.

Here are some more tweets from Chuck and Mikey about the reunion:
