The Cranberries Something Else

The Cranberries announce tour; new album out (UPDATE: 2nd NYC show added)

Irish alt-rock vets The Cranberries returned today with their new album, Something Else, which features acoustic and orchestral versions of their classic songs. (The cover art, meanwhile, updates 1994’s No Need to Argue pose.) “I prefer them like this, with a little bit more experience behind them, with a new lease of life. They sound fresh again,” singer Dolores O’Riordan says. It also includes some new material, and you can stream the whole thing below.

The Cranberries have also just announced a tour, where they’ll be playing their biggest hits with a string quartet. The tour begins in Nashville in September and wraps up in LA in October.

There’s a NYC show on September 16 at Terminal 5. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday, May 5 at 10 AM, and there’s a fan club presale for the whole tour starting Tuesday, May 2 at 10 AM local time.

UPDATE: The show is sold out and The Cranberries added a second Terminal 5 show for September 15. Tickets go on sale May 12 at 10 AM with various presales beforehand. All dates are listed below.
