If you’ve seen the 1998 vampire action flick Blade, you probably remember its opening scene, set at a stylish underground rave where unsuspecting revelers are having the time of their lives…until they’re showered in blood and the vampire feasting begins. (If you don’t remember that scene, you can watch it below.) BBQ Films, the folks who turned Rough Trade into Empire Records earlier this year, will be paying tribute to that scene — and the film — with a Blade Rave happening October 9 at Terminal 5.

The Blade Rave is an official afterparty of New York Super Week, presented by New York Comic Con 2015. The Crystal Method, who featured on many of the Blade movies soundtracks, will headline the night that also features sets from Pictureplane, a place both wonderful and strange, and DJ Choyce Hacks, plus a special Blade Rave performance from immersive dance collective The Dance Cartel. Tickets are on sale now and include include a screening of the film, live music and performances, and a limited-edition event poster, with more to be announced closer to the event date.

A teaser trailer for Blade Rave is below…
