The Damned postpone shows after Captain Sensible falls off stage & breaks rib

Pioneering UK punk band The Damned’s North American tour will have to take a couple of days off this week as co-founder Captain Sensible took a spill off the stage at the band’s April 30 show in Toronto, Canada, and broke a rib. The Damned’s Facebook says:

“Ladies and Gentlemen….How do.”

As I’m sure you’re all aware now, last night in Toronto, our fearless Captain took a spill off the front of the stage resulting in a broken rib. In an effort to “ Carry On Captain” we are postponing our Montreal and Boston shows to the following dates:

Montreal: May 23, 2017
Boston: May 24, 2017

All tickets and VIP packages will be honored for these rescheduled dates.

Most importantly though is that our beloved Captain recover and resume his exuberant duties.
Let’s all keep up the good thoughts and positive wishes.

From The Damned Production

Get better soon, Captain!

The Damned are still scheduled to play the NYC area this weekend —  May 5 at Warsaw, and May 6 at The Stone Pony in Asbury Park. Both shows are with The BellRays and sold out. The Damned also recently celebrated their 40th anniversary, and are reissuing their classic debut Damned Damned Damned. Watch a video clip from the Toronto show, including Captain Sensible’s fall, below.
