Toronto group The Darcys are heading out on the road for a short East Coast tour, performing their interpretation of Steely Dan's Aja which they made as an album last year. This includes a stop at Mercury Lounge on November 1 and tickets are still available. All tour dates are below.

The Darcy's version of the Dan' 1977 slick masterwork is ethereal and elegiac (and anthemic at times), definitely worth checking out whether you're a Fagen/Becker fan or not. Joining The Darcy's on this tour Mexico City's Rey Pila who were last in NYC this past spring when they were here recording their second album.

For the tour, The Darcys offered up a couple of their Aja tracks for remix as a single and we've got the premiere of the Rey Pila reworking of Side Two deep cut "I Got the News" which you can download above or stream below. The Darcy's version is almost all atmosphere, but Rey Pila put some Miami into it.
