The Flaming Lips & Mac DeMarco prep split-EP for upcoming co-headlining tour

The Flaming Lips and Mac Demarco will be going on a co-headlining tour starting in September and they’ll be putting out a split EP where they’ll cover three of each other’s songs. Lips frontman Wayne Coyne broke the news via Instagram that has a short video of Wayne working on their cover of Mac’s “Chamber of Reflection.” Check that out below.

In other news Mac has made a new video for the title track off this year’s This Old Dog using VR technology. You can watch the 360 version of the video below, and if you’ve got VR goggles, you can check that out here.

While that joint tour doesn’t hit NYC, Mac will play Radio City Music Hall on September 22 with The Garden (tickets). Updated Mac DeMarco tour dates are listed below.
