The Format officially announce NYC, Chicago & Phoenix reunion shows

UPDATE: MORE SHOWS ADDED.

Having just announced their return at a surprise acoustic show in Phoenix on Monday night, The Format revealed they’d be playing shows in NYC, Chicago and Phoenix. The NYC shows — Bowery Ballroom on March 20 & March 21 — were announced this morning and now they’ve announced the rest: Chicago’s Lincoln Hall on March 27 & March 28 and Phoenix’s The Van Beuren on April 3. The band, led by Nate Ruess (who went on to be in fun.) and Sam Means (who went on to be in Destry), have been on hiatus since 2008.

Tickets for all those shows go on sale Friday February 7 at noon local time, with a band presale starting Wednesday (2/5) at noon local via The Format’s webstore with password FORMAT.

UPDATE: MORE SHOWS ADDED.

The Format released their 2007 Live at the Mayan concert film via Prime Video today, and the audio is out on all streaming services (and on vinyl) now as well. You can watch video of “The First Single” and “She Doesn’t Get It” from that below.
