The Get Up Kids recently posted a teaser video and said we'd find out more on Thursday (3/29). Well, Thursday is now here and the news is revealed: The Get Up Kids have signed to Polyvinyl Records! Having been signed to Doghouse and Vagrant for their classic albums, this now makes them labelmates with fellow reunited emo vets American Football, Rainer Maria and Braid (who were all also on Polyvinyl back in the day), as well as former Jade Tree band Pedro the Lion, who recently reunited and signed to Polyvinyl for their first album since 2004.

A new video was also posted which includes a clip of new music, and they write "So pumped to share that we've signed with Polyvinyl! New music coming soon!!!", or "ridiculously soon," as Polyvinyl adds. Exciting! The upcoming release will be their first since their underrated 2011 comeback/reunion album There Are Rules. Stay tuned for more info.

The band's only currently announced live date is day one of Long Island's Great South Bay Music Festival wth The Front Bottoms, Thrice, and more (tickets).
