The Good, The Bad & The Queen share "Gun To The Head"

The Damon Albarn-led The Good, The Bad & The Queen have shared a second song from their new album, Merrie Land, which is out next week. “Gun to the Head” has a pastoral, Kinks-y vibe to it in that English music hall kind of way. “Required of this song is a case for love,” sings Damon and a chorus of backers, hopeful against the odds. “When everything else that keeps us together, conspiring to tear us apart.” The video plays off the album’s ventriloquist dummy artwork and you can watch that below.

In case you forgot, The Good, The Bad & The Queen also includes Paul Simonon (The Clash), Simon Tong (The Verve) and afrobeat legend Tony Allen, and Merrie Land was produced by Tony Visconti.

This is Damon’s second album of the year, following Gorillaz’ The Now Now which came out back in June. The Good, The Bad & The Queen have a few UK dates in December.
