The Hold Steady playing 'Stay Positive' 10th anniversary show before wknd runs
The Hold Steady recently teased that they are doing “Constructive Summer” runs in three different cities this summer. Those runs have now been announced, and the band also announced a Stay Positive (home of “Constructive Summer”) 10th anniversary show happening right beforehand.
THS will celebrate 10 years of Stay Positive at Jersey City’s White Eagle Hall on July 25 before doing a Philly/Asbury Park run, a San Francisco run, and a Toronto run. “We were looking for a venue closest to where we recorded the Stay Positive album, and we found this amazing place. It’s our plan to play all the songs from the Stay Positive album, along with a bunch of other Hold Steady songs,” the band said, of the decision to add the White Eagle Hall show. Tickets for that one go on sale Friday (5/11) at noon 10 AM .
The Philly/Asbury Park run happens July 26 & 27 at Union Transfer in Philly and July 28 at Asbury Lanes in Asbury Park. Tickets for Philly and Asbury Park go on sale Friday (5/11) at noon with a Unified Scene presale starting today (5/7) at 3 PM.
There will be three-day pass options for Philly/Asbury Park and SF, and a four-day pass option for Toronto. “Each weekend will feature a limited number of tickets available for a Soundcheck / Happy Hour event taking place on the Thursday & Friday in each market.” Stay tuned for ticket info for the multi-night passes. Before all this, Hold Steady frontman Craig Finn plays the Americana Benefit at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg on May 9 and new NYC venue Coney Island Baby on May 12.
