Post-hardcore/noise rock legends The Jesus Lizard recently revealed that they'd be reuniting for the first time in eight years to play Houston's Day For Night festival. We hoped more dates would be added, and lo and behold, they're also playing Nashville, Chicago, NYC, LA, and San Francisco before the fest!

In an interview with Noisey, frontman David Yow talked about how he's been preparing for the reunion, including some "very serious" workout sessions. "I'm not going to be able to act like I'm 30. It wasn't easy then, and now it's motherfuckin' hard." As for what prompted the decision to reunite again after eight years: "To a degree, it's how much money they're going to pay. We keep extraordinarily busy and to pry us away from that is not inexpensive." Bassist David Wm. Sims also added, "I think everyone was just ready. I can say honestly, even after all this time and as long as I've known them, those guys are still three of my very favorite people."

The NYC show happens December 10 at Irving Plaza. Tickets for that show go on sale Friday (10/6) at 10 AM with Live Nation and Music Geeks presales starting Thursday (10/5) at 10 AM. All dates are listed below.
