Macy's is not doing its usual Fourth of July NYC Fireworks Spectacular on the East River this year, instead hosting a series of "surprise" five-minute mini spectaculars in each of NYC's five boroughs tonight (6/29) through July 4.

There will, however, still be a two-hour TV special that will air Saturday, July 4 at 8 PM ET/PT on NBC, featuring performances by The Killers, John Legend, Lady A, Black Eyed Peas, Tim McGraw and Brad Paisley, as well as a special performance by National Youth Poet Laureate Amanda Gorman.

The special will feature footage of the Macy’s Fireworks shows filmed throughout the week, including a live grand finale. There will also be an encore presentation immediately following from 10-11 PM. ET/PT.

Lady A is the new name of country pop band Lady Antebellum, who changed it due to the associations "Antebellum" has with the Confederacy and slavery.
