The Liminanas prep new EP (listen to “Istanbul is Sleepy” ft. Anton Newcombe)

French duo The Limiñanas putting the finishing touches on their new album which will be out early 2018 but in the meantime have a new EP titled Istanbul is Sleepy, out November 17 via Because Music. The title track is a collaboration with Anton Newcombe of Brian Jonestown Massacre, with whom The Limiñanas first worked on a Kinks cover for MOJO magazine. Anton takes lead vocals -- "He was inspired, in particular, by The Cult during their ‘Rain’ period," says Lionel Limiñana -- which takes the otherwise very Limiñanas-y (groovy motorik psych-garage) track into new, cool territory. Newcombe's "Rain" inspiration enters into the video, too, which premieres in this post. Watch below.

The Liminanas have a few fall tour dates coming up, including their first ever London show. Hopefully they will schedule some North American shows soon -- it has been too long. All dates are listed below.
