The Make-Up are playing a few U.S. shows ahead of European festival dates, including Brooklyn's The Bell House on May 20. That show is sold out and the band have added a second Bell House show on May 21, which is all-ages and also with Tyvek and Permanent Waves. Tickets for that second show are on sale now. As mentioned, Make-Up frontman Ian Svenonius is part of the 2017 Whitney Biennial, as text from his book Censorship Now! is used in paintings by Frances Stark. Svenonius will be at The Whitney on April 14, where he "presents a lecture on the concept of re-education." Tickets for that event are on sale now.
