Philly-via-Scranton punks The Menzingers have announced a new album, Hello Exile, due October 4 via Epitaph (pre-order). It was produced by past collaborator Will Yip, and first single “Anna” sounds like classic Menzingers but in a way that’s still new and fresh. It’s the kind of raggedy heartland punk with conversational, heart-on-sleeve lyrics that they do so well, with a chorus that’ll get stuck in your head on first listen. Stream it and watch the video below.
As mentioned, The Menzingers are playing Long Island’s Great South Bay Music Fest this Thursday (7/18) with Taking Back Sunday, Glassjaw, and Frank Iero (tickets) and then touring with The Sidekicks and Queen of Jeans (who both recently put out new songs). The Menzingers also just announced a fall headlining tour with Tigers Jaw and Culture Abuse.
That stacked triple bill hits Brooklyn’s Warsaw on December 5 and 6. Tickets for those shows go on sale Friday (7/19) at 10 AM with a Citi presale starting Tuesday (7/16) at 10 AM and more presales after that. All dates are listed below.
