The Monkees’ Micky Dolenz and Mike Nesmith will be touring together this year, the first time they’ve ever done so as a duo. They’re calling it “The Monkees Present: The Mike and Micky Show” and they’ll pull from their band’s classic catalog of hits, as well as some deep cuts. “I love being onstage with Micky,” says Nesmith. “We’ve been collaborating for over 50 years, so it’s hard to believe it’s never been just the two of us. I’m excited to dust off some tunes that I haven’t played for a long time too.”

The tour wraps up with shows at NYC’s Beacon Theatre on June 22 and NJ’s Count Basie Theatre on June 25. Tickets for those shows are on presale now (use SOCIAL for Beacon Theatre) and go on sale to the general public on Friday, February 23 at 9 AM for Beacon Theatre and 10 AM for Count Basie Theatre.

The Monkees’ Headquarters and Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd. both made our list of The 50 best psychedelic rock albums of the Summer of Love. All dates are listed below.
