The Movielife announce first album since 2003, and intimate shows

Last year, reunited melodic punk band The Movielife released “Future Feeling (Afraid of Drugs),” their first new song since 2003’s still-great Forty Hour Train Back to Penn. Now they’ve announced that they will release a new full length this fall! It’s coming out on Rise Records, the same label that’s releasing the At the Drive-In reunion album this year. They’re recording the album The Barber Shop Studios with producer Brett Romnes (who has played with Movielife singer Vinnie Caruana in I Am the Avalance and in his solo band), and Zakk Cervini is mixing it.

The band have also announced four intimate shows happening this May in Philadelphia, Brooklyn, Boston, and their hometown of Long Island.

The BK show is on May 5 at Brooklyn Bazaar and the LI show is on May 7 at Amityville Music Hall. Tickets for BK and LI go on sale Friday (3/31) at noon. All dates are listed below.
