The Natvral, aka Kip Berman of Pains of Being Pure at Heart in solo mode, has announced his debut EP, titled Know Me More, which will be out as a 7" on October 5 via Kanine. "I wanted to pick up my guitar and sing songs in a natural way," says Kip of the project's name and folky sound, "without all the things about music that aren’t music." The four tracks include a cover of Leonard Cohen's "Suzanne" and he's just shared Know Me More's lovely title track which features Jess Weiss of Fear of Men. Listen below.

Kip will be taking The Natvral on tour this fall, including dates with Toronto band Tallies. Before that, he's got a bunch of Brooklyn shows coming up soon. He'll play a free set at Saturday's Brooklyn Flea Record Fair (9/22) at 1:15 PM; he'll open for Graham Coxon of Blur at Elsewhere on September 25 (tickets); he'll play a free in-store at Rough Trade on October 1 at 7 PM; and he'll open for Hatchie at Baby's All Right on October 2 (tickets).
