The Numerators releasing 'Strange' new LP (stream it), going on tour, playing Northside Fest

numerators

Psych-punk crew The Numerators are set to release their new album, Strange, via Amateur Freak on May 20 (preorder on vinyl or digital). A little about the album from the band:

strange was written between time spent in brooklyn and texas, in a collaborative settings with sammi & burgers that started with Caroline Partamian (Scully) and was completed and polished with Andrew Chavez (Rattlesnake Milk/Mexican Dress). An album about feeling weird, transmuting nights of excess, and our dog, bill.

The album, which was mastered by Oliver Ackermann of A Place to Bury Strangers, tightropes between crazed freakouts and hooky smarts without ever losing its balance. You can check out the whole album — a stream premieres below.

The Numerators will be on tour starting next week, and will be in Brooklyn to play two Northside shows (both at the same venue): the Beeswax Booking / Hive Mind PR Alphaville on June 9 with Fake Palms, Bueno and Twist.; and then the Dull Tools showcase at Alphaville on June 11 with MPHO, Beth Israel, Heaven’s Gate, Future Punx, PC Woship, and “Special Guest.” Tickets for both shows are on sale now or you can use your Northside badge to get in (based on capacity).

All tour dates are listed, along with the album stream and flyers, below.
