The Pains of Being Pure at Heart & Frankie Rose announce tour

The Pains of Being Pure at Heart were one of the first bands announced for the 2017 edition of Brooklyn’s Northside Festival. Their show happens June 9 at Music Hall of Williamsburg with Ablebody (ft. Pains members Anton & Christoph Hochheim). Tickets for that show are still available, and you can also try to get in using a Northside badge (based on capacity).

It turns out that show is part of a lengthy tour for Pains and Ablebody, and several dates also have Frankie Rose. Frankie is gearing up to release her first album since 2013 this year, and she recently previewed some of it in Austin during SXSW. We caught her at the BrooklynVegan/Sound on Sound-presented Lost Weekend (pics). A video of Frankie playing a new song at a different SXSW show is below.

Meanwhile, Pains have a new album on the way too. No music or details are out from that yet, but hopefully that’ll change soon. Stay tuned.
