Concerns about the cornavirus pandemic coupled with the temporary closure of venues in some cities continue to cause the cancellation and postponement of tours. The Rolling Stones' scheduled 2020 North American tour, which was scheduled to begin in San Diego in May and hit Vancouver, Minneapolis, Nashville, Austin, Buffalo, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Charlotte, Atlanta, and more, is now postponed as well. The Rolling Stones also postponed their 2019 tour while Mick Jagger had heart valve replacement surgery. It was rescheduled for summer 2019, although a couple of dates had to be rescheduled twice, New Orleans because of Tropical Storm Barry and Miami because of Hurricane Dorian.
