2 Tone greats The Specials kicked off a run of North American dates on Friday (9/9) at NYC's Terminal 5. Since their last visit to Manhattan, guitarist Roddy Radiation bowed out of the band, and drummer John Bradbury passed away last year. (Libertines drummer Gary Powell is behind the kit on this tour.) With Neville Staple out of the band in 2013 and keyboardist Jerry Dammers not taking part in any of the '00s-era reunions, that left Terry Hall, Lynval Golding and Horace Panter as the only original members. Nonetheless, this incarnation of The Specials seemed to be having a great time at T5, with Terry Hall in a talkative mood, dedicating "Blank Expression" to Donald Trump and, of course, offering up a tribute to ska legend Prince Buster who had died the day before.

Brooklyn reggae/rocksteady group The Far East opened the night. Pictures from The Specials show at Terminal 5 are in the gallery above and setlist is below.
