The Tambo Rays (members of Waters) release shimmering new single "Get it Right Now" (listen)

Siblings Brian and Sara DaMert are both members of California band Waters, but also front their own band, The Tambo Rays (which also includes another Waters member, Greg Sellin). Distinguished by the two DaMert’s complimentary vocals and a shimmering, danceable style, they fondly recall the mid-’00s days of Shout Out Louds, Metric and Moonbabies. The band’s new single, “Get It Right Now,” is a great example of what they do: propulsive, bouncy indie pop that gleams like a toothpaste commercial smile. The song makes its premiere in this post and you can stream it below.

The track is featured on OIM: Vol. II compilation which also features tracks by Sugar Candy Mountain, Hot Flash Heat Wave, Virgin Teeth and more, and will be out out July 22.
