
These Arms Are Snakes reunited & played a show (video)
It was a secret reunion show Thursday night at Barboza in Seattle...
Seattle metal band He Whose Ox is Gored point out (in the above Instagram) that Ben Verellen of Helms Alee (and Verellen Amplifiers) was the drummer, like he was for These Arms Are Snakes in 2005 before quitting the band (he also played additional bass on their debut album in 2004).
It was a short surprise performance on a bill with Constant Lovers, Merso and Dust Moth (Ryan Frederiksen of TAAS' newer band), but the Seattle band teased the show on Facebook (with a picture from their set at a 2009 BrooklynVegan SXSW party):
These Arms Are Snakes broke up in 2010.
Suicide Squeeze re-released Tail Swallower and Dove on vinyl earlier this year.
