Charles Bullen and Charles Hayward, two thirds of art rock / post-punk legends This Heat, reunited in 2016 for their 40th anniversary as This is Not This Heat, playing shows with help from folks like Thurston Moore, Hot Chip's Alexis Taylor and Ulver / Sunn O)))'s Daniel O'Sullivan. (This Heat bassist/vocalist Gareth Williams died in 2001.) They're heading to America this summer to play Pitchfork fest in Chicago and after that they're heading to NYC to play Pioneer Works on July 23. Tickets are on sale.

If you're unfamiliar with This Heat, who pioneered an obtuse mix of fusion jazz, noise, tape loops, and other experimental styles, you can stream their 1979 self-titled album, which covered the first two years of the group's live and studio songs, along with 1981's Deceit, below.
