Thom Yorke tour underway (setlists, videos, ‘Colbert’ interview)
Thom Yorke recently began his first tour since his great new album ANIMA came out, and the setlists have been similar to the tour he did leading up to its release (though now of course fans are familiar with the new songs). He's been playing most of ANIMA, including its vinyl-only bonus track "(Ladies & Gentlemen, Thank You for Coming)," a couple songs from his Suspiria score, a couple Atoms For Peace songs, and more. The setlists have slightly varied from night to night, but not by much. Check out two recent setlists and watch some recent live videos below.
Thom also took a brief break from the tour and used the opportunity to hit The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where he and Colbert had a lengthy convo that touched on Brexit, Boris Johnson, Thom's favorite R.E.M. song, ANIMA, and more. "We live in strange times," Thom said, while discussing the political climate that both the US and the UK are in, before pausing and adding, "It's not my fault." Watch the interview below.
The tour resumes at Austin City Limits Music Festival this Friday, October 4 (Thom plays at 7 PM), and then hits Atlanta, New Orleans, ACL weekend two, Berkeley, Seattle, Vancouver, Portland, Santa Barbara, Las Vegas, and two nights in LA. All dates are listed below.
Following ANIMA, Thom Yorke released the new song "Daily Battles" (featuring Flea on bass and trumpet) for the new Edward Norton film Motherless Brooklyn.
