Earlier this week, a Thrasher Death Match party was announced to take place in Queens on October 6 with Culture Abuse and Gouge Away, though most details were TBA. Now it's officially announced, and as we theorized, it's happening at Knockdown Center. It's also a two-day event, also taking place on October 5. The event description reads:

AdHoc presents the Thrasher x Vans Death Match NYC!

October 5th + 6th, 2018
Knockdown Center NYC

For years, Thrasher Magazine’s Death Match has brought together music and skateboarding for the ultimate skater’s party. Expanding with an East Coast event, Death Match is coming for a two-day bash in New York City! Thrasher X Vans Death Match NYC will be held October 5th and 6th and as always, it’s a free, all ages event with a first-come, first-served policy – no passes or VIP seating and the ramp is open to all to skate.

Doors are at 3 PM, and the shows start at 4. They're free with RSVP. Though Culture Abuse and Gouge Away announced their sets, the exact lineup for the full two days is TBA. Stay tuned.

Death Match, which is co-presented by Vans (but was previously co-presented by Converse), comes to NYC just as House of Vans Brooklyn closed. Death Match has made for many years of fun times in Austin during SXSW. Watch a recap video from this year's Austin edition:
