Thrice's Dustin Kensrue covered Peter Gabriel; playing Riot Fest At Home this week

Thrice frontman Dustin Kensrue is having a busy week of quarantine performances. He recently (in a Refused shirt and with a Radiohead poster behind him) did a virtual duet with Switchfoot frontman Jon Foreman on a cover of the Peter Gabriel classic “In Your Eyes,” which they turned into a rustic folk song but otherwise stayed pretty faithful to the original. You can check that out below.

Dustin’s solo acoustic set for the Riot Fest At Home livestream is also this Thursday (5/21) at 8 PM ET (7 PM CT) on Facebook Live. Stay tuned.

Riot Fest also just revealed that Dustin will be followed by The Beths on Friday (5/22) and Sincere Engineer (acoustic) on Saturday (5/23), both also at 8 PM ET on FB. The following week will include Saves The Day’s Chris Conley, Bayside’s Anthony Raneri, and Sleep On It. Check out the poster for this week’s streams below.

A few weeks ago, Riot Fest At Home hosted a (virtual) Straylight Run reunion (and we also then wrote a retrospective on Straylight Run’s discography).

For more Thrice, Riley Breckenridge recently made us a list of the music he’s been listening to in quarantine, and we recently wrote about The Artist in the Ambulance in our list of 15 albums that defined the 2000s post-hardcore boom.
