MoMA PS1 Summer School returns this August for its second year in a row. MoMA describes it as, “An annual series of workshops, lectures, and discussions, Summer School brings students together for a focused conversation on contemporary practice with artists, authors, musicians, curators, theorists, and scholars who have made significant contributions in their respective fields.” This year’s classes will be taught by Throbbing Gristle’s Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, Marina Abramovic, and Steve Paxton. The deadline to apply for classes is today (7/20), but all three of those teachers, including Genesis P-Orridge, will give a presentation open to the public at MoMA PS1 on September 9.

Genesis P-Orridge is also reissuing What’s History for the first time on vinyl this month on Dais Records. The album was recorded in 1981 with filmmaker Dan Landin and originally came out on cassette in 1983. Only 500 copies are being pressed and you can pre-order it at the Dais webstore.

Speaking of MoMA PS1, the 2012 Warm Up series continues there this Saturday (7/21) with Matthew Dear (DJ), Sepalcure, Le1f, MikeQ, and JDH & Dave P. Tickets for that show are still available. You can stream MikeQ’s Fader/MoMA PS1 Warm Up mix for this week, which includes Azealia Banks, Brenmar, and more below.
