Thursday have more of their Full Collapse / War All The Time shows coming up, including their sold-out four-night run at Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg the week of Christmas and New Year's. They're now teasing a lengthy U.S. tour, presumably for 2019. The exact dates and venues will be revealed Tuesday (10/30) at 10 AM EST, but Thursday posted the longitude and latitude coordinates of the tour on Facebook, and some geography sleuths cracked the code and posted in the comments that the list includes another Brooklyn show,
a show in Thursday's hometown of New Brunswick, NJ; and stops in San Francisco, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Austin, DC, Atlanta, Nashville, Detroit, Philly, Boston, and more. See the full list below and stay tuned for more info.
Update: It's not clear (and seemingly not likely) if the band was actually teasing a New Brunswick show -- the New Brunswick coordinates are written at the bottom of the poster as a signature of the band's hometown, not in the list of tour dates. The tour is now announced (with no NJ show).
Thursday had posted a statement towards the end of 2017 saying they'd be touring in 2018 and after that would "only return in the event of new music." Do 2019 dates mean new music? Or is this just an extension of their "final group of dates in the US"? Or none of the above? Stay tuned.
In other news, Thursday frontman Geoff Rickly recently launched a podcast exploring "the lives of musicians and artists, and the way they have dealt with health, trauma and other issues."
