Tierra Whack replacing Earl Sweatshirt at Pitchfork; win tix to This is Not This Heat in Brooklyn

Tierra Whack at Roots Picnic 2018 (more by Rafe Baron)

The 2018 edition of Pitchfork Music Festival is this weekend in Chicago’s Union Park and there have been a few lineup/schedule changes. Earl Sweatshirt, who was supposed to play Friday (7/20) at 6:15 on the Green Stage, has dropped off the lineup and Tierra Whack has been added at 4:15 on the Green Stage. This has shifted a few other performances around: Saba will play the Red Stage at 5:15, while Syd will now perform on the Green Stage at 6:15 (which conflicts with Big Thief’s 6:30 Blue Stage set). Updated Pitchfork schedule is below.

One of Pitchfork’s rarer performances this year is This is Not This Heat, which is Charles Bullen and Charles Hayward, two thirds of art rock / post-punk legends This Heat. Right after Pitchfork, This is Not This Heat will head to Brooklyn to play Pioneer Works on Monday, July 23. Tickets are still available but if you’d like to go for free, we’re giving away two pairs. Fill out our contest widget below for your chance to win.

In other news, Light In the Attic are reissuing This Heat’s Made Available (first time on vinyl in 20 years), Repeat / Metal (first time ever on vinyl), and Live 80 – 81 (first time ever on vinyl) on August 3. Pre-orders are available. LITA reissued Health & Efficiency, Deceit and This Heat back in 2015.
