Tim Heidecker and Eric Wareheim, aka Tim and Eric, aka two of the most fertile minds in comedy and unparalleled strangeness, are about to embark on a long overdue live tour that is sure to entertain and nauseate. What has their legions of fans in a doubly insane tizzy is the fact that legendary character and man-about-town Dr. Steve Brule (aka John C. Reilly) will be along for the ride, as will the great and profusely entertaining DJ Douggpound. Tim and Eric Awesome Show Great Job was my favorite program on Adult Swim. A festival of insane music, skits, and editing, the show was as painfully strange as it was painfully hilarious.

The tour kicks off on Thursday 9/4 in Montreal and snakes its way provocatively around North America before culminating in a two show finale on Saturday 10/11 at the Best Buy Theater in NYC (early and late). Tickets for those shows go on sale Friday (7/18) at noon.

This is not the first time T&E have performed at the Besy Buy Theater and, honestly, it is not the most ideal venue for something like this. For bands that bring relentless volume to the stage like Meshuggah and Carcass, it’s great but comedy… eh… not so much. Too cavernous. You hear so much of the ambient noise around you which at a T&E show means farts, people shufflin’ their feet, and lighters clicking to life to set a doobie alight. Oh well. Dinguses can’t be choosers, so I’m straight gonna be there.  Below is a list of all tour dates, as well as some of my favorite Tim and Eric related videos….
