Tony Molina is getting ready to release his new EP Confront the Truth, and he's shared a couple new songs from that: "Hung Up On the Dream" and "See Me Fall." After the Weezer and Thin Lizzy-aping sound of his past stuff, he's moved to The Beatles as a new musical wellspring for this one. The new songs are short, catchy acoustic ballads, but it's impossible not to notice how liberally these songs borrow from Lennon/McCartney. "Hung Up On the Dream" lifts the chord progression from "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "See Me Fall" features a good chunk of "And I Love Her." Confront the Truth is out October 28 via Slumberland. Listen below.

Meanwhile, Tony has announced a brief tour in support of the new release, where he'll be joined on most dates by Wildhoney. That tour stops in NYC for a show at Union Pool on November 12. Tickets for that are on sale now.
