Hammerstein Ballroom hosted the NYC edition of Spotify’s “RapCaviar Live” series last night (11/21) with a huge lineup. Headlining was Harlem vets Dipset (Cam’ron, Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, and Freekey Zekey) playing their first show in two years, and the other two acts are both big enough to headline Hammerstein on their own: newer Harlem crew A$AP Mob and fast-rising Bronx rapper A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie. It may come as no surprise that it became a total shitshow outside the venue. So much so, in fact, that eventually the venue closed doors to everyone, turning ticketholders away. Needless to say, many fans were not happy:

For the lucky ones who did get inside, Dipset ended up taking the stage much later than expected. Apparently the show’s curfew was 11, and they still hadn’t begun their set by then. The delays even caused some booing:

They finally played, though, and it looks pretty wild:

Ahead of the show, DIpset appeared on MTV‘s recently-rebooted TRL, and during the interview, they mentioned they have a new 7-song EP and a documentary coming. It’ll presumably include their new single “Once Upon A Time.” Listen to that and watch the TRL interview below.
