Rumors of a new Tool album have circulated for quite some time, and while they may not be based on much, it does feel like the band is in the midst of some sort of comeback. They started a lengthy tour this week, which is going to hit some places they haven't played in a while. For example, their imminent headlining set at Governors Ball will be their first NYC show in over a decade (though they have played NJ more recently than that).

The tour began at Fairfax, VA's EagleBank Arena on Wednesday (5/24) at continued at Hershey, PA's Giant Center last night (5/25). Last night included their first performance of "Eulogy" off 1996's classic Ænima since 2001. A video of Tool playing that song and the setlists from both shows can be found below. Both shows also included "Descending," a song Tool debuted a couple years ago.

Tool's tour continues in Maine on Saturday (5/27) and then they headline Boston Calling on Sunday (5/29). (Update: they played.)

The California band will wrap up their tour with a huge show in their home state on June 24 with Melvins, Primus, The Crystal Method, and one more TBA UPDATE: Clutch and Fantômas, with Mike Patton and Dave Lombardo (who also are in Dead Cross together now) are on that bill too. All remaining dates here.
