PICS: Tool @ Allstate Arena (plus video & setlist)

Tool‘s tour continued at Rosemont, IL’s Allstate Arena on Thursday night (6/8), which appears to have been their first show in the Chicago area since Lollapalooza 2009. Their setlist was similar to most of the shows on this tour, with favorites from all over their career like “Ænema,” “Forty-Six & 2,” “The Grudge,” “Jambi,” “Third Eye,” and more. They also once again played “The Pot,” which got its tour debut in Michigan a night earlier, the band’s first time playing it in half a decade. Also like on the rest of the tour, the killer setlist was heightened even more by the vivid light show. Pictures of the Allstate Arena show are in the gallery above. Video and setlist below.

Tool’s tour also hit Boston Calling (pics, review, setlist), NYC’s Governors Ball (pics, setlist), and a Hershey, PA show where they played “Eulogy” for the first time in 16 years.

Tool’s next stop is tonight (6/9) at St. Paul, MN’s Xcel Energy Center. Things wrap up later this month (6/24) with a big San Bernardino, CA show with the Melvins, Primus, Clutch, Fantomas, and The Crystal Method. All remaining tour dates here.
