Touche Amore working on LP5 with Ross Robinson, share playlist of influences
We said back in January that we were highly anticipating the fifth Touch Amore album for this year, and they've since confirmed that they're in the studio working on it. As The PRP points out, they're continuing to work with the great Ross Robinson, who produced their 2019 single "Deflector." Last year, they said they worked with Ross because they wanted "someone who would take [them] out of [their] comfort zone" and that they “entered the studio to record a song with Ross and see if there was chemistry." I guess there was!
Touche have posted various pictures and a video from the studio, and they also made a Spotify playlist of music inspiring the new LP, which includes Leonard Cohen, Deftones, R.E.M., Moss Icon, Mission of Burma, Drowningman, Envy, Bohren & Der Club of Gore, Real Estate, Autolux, The Only Ones, Traveling Wilburys, Emmylou Harris, Superchunk, and more. (Interesting mix!) Check out the whole playlist below.
