Acid Witch


Detroit stoner metal staples Acid Witch are playing Masschusetts' RPM Fest but first they're doing two shows with Child Bite, Against the Grain and Snafu: Lakewood, OH's The Foundry on 8/24 and Brooklyn's Saint Vitus on 8/25. They're promising "old and new songs we’ve never jammed live before."


Crossover thrashers Municipal Waste are doing a Northeast tour including dates with Gang Green and Dropdead.


It's a one-off for now, but metal supergroup Metal Allegiance and Venom offshoot Venom Inc announced a NYC show together.


Shannon Shaw, of Shannon and the Clams, will release new solo album Shannon in Nashville on June 8 via Dan Auerbach's Easy Eye Sound label. You can stream "Cryin' My Eyes Out" below. To celebrate, Shannon will play a solo show at Brooklyn Bowl on June 8 with T-Rextasy that's part of Northside Festival (tickets). Then this summer, Shanon & The Clams will head out on tour, and will stop at NYC's Panorama festival and Meltasia in July. They've also got fall East Coast dates and will probably announce another NYC visit after Panorama is over. All dates are here.


Irish band Ash just released new album Islands and are touring it as we speak and have a few upcoming shows, including Brooklyn's Baby's All Right on May 30 with Beverly (tickets), plus September shows in Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco. Head here for all dates and tickets.


John Vanderslice hasn't toured in five years but will be back on the road in August, September and October on a living room tour. Would you like to host one of the shows?


Parquet Courts tour in support of new album Wide Awake! just got underway in Boston last night and hits Providence, RI tonight with tour mates Goat Girl. They'll play three NYC shows next month -- including one on a roof and one on a boat.


Not a tour, but festival Iceland Airwaves just announced more artists who will be playing the 2018 edition, including Natalie Prass, Stella Donnelly, Nadine Shah, and more who will join previous announced acts such as Fever Ray, Blood Orange, The Voidz, and Snail Mail.


Flasher, the band featuring former Priests bassist Taylor Mulitz, have shared a new track from their terrific debut album Constant Image that's out June 8 on Domino. You can stream that below. Their tour with Dehd starts right before the record's out and includes a Brooklyn show as part of Northside Festival. They've just added more dates to the tour, includes ones on the West Coast in July and August. All dates and tickets are here.
