JONATHAN BREE (EX-BRUNETTES)

Jonathan Bree used to front New Zealand indie pop group The Brunettes and now makes music on his own, having released Sleepwalking in 2018 and recently dropped new single “Waiting on the Moment” (stream both below). His live show has become a spectacle with white zentai suits, choreographed dancers, cinematic projections and more. He’s on tour in North America now, with upcoming dates in Chicago, Cleveland, Toronto, Montreal, Allston, Brooklyn (11/02 @ The Bell House), Philly, Austin, and more. All dates are here.

AVEY TARE

Animal Collective’s Avey Tare, who released Cows on Hourglass Pond back in March, is playing Brooklyn’s Public Records on December 5 — that show sold out so he’s added a second show at the venue on December 6 (tickets). Those are his only dates at the moment.

ANNA OF THE NORTH

Norwegian singer Anna of the North released her sophomore album, Dream Girl, today and you can stream that below. She’s also just announced a North American 2020 tour that kicks off February 13 in Washington, DC then hits NYC (Bowery Ballroom on 2/14 and Elsewhere Hall on 2/15), Boston, Montreal, Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, Kansas City, Denver, PHoenix, Los Angeles and San Francisco. ZOE KEATING

Cellist and composer Zoë Keating has worked with Amanda Palmer, Imogen Heap, and John Vanderslice, among others, and she also releases solo music; most recently, her 2018 EP Snowmelt. She just announced some East Coast tour dates for 2020, happening in Brooklyn (two shows at National Sawdust on 2/23), Philadelphia, Washington DC, and Atlanta. Those dates follow a brief EU run playing cello with Imogen and Guy Sigsworth, and she has plans for more touring in spring 2020. All dates are here.

THOM YORKE

Thom Yorke added a third and final NYC show to his 2020 Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes tour.

MURA MASA

Mura Masa has announced his sophomore album, R.Y.C (Raw Youth Collage), due January 17 via Polydor/Anchor Point as well as a 2020 North American tour, starting on the West Coast (right around the time of Coachella) and ending at NYC’s Brooklyn Steel on May 8.

WHYTE HORSES

Enigmatic Manchester UK collective Whyte Horses will play their first ever U.S. shows in March, hitting NYC and LA. in support of their upcoming, guest-filled album.

ANAMANAGUCHI

Chiptune vets Anamanaguchi just released their first album in six years and will be on tour starting next week, including a Halloween show in Houston, and dates in Austin, New Orleans, St. Louis, Columbus, Chicago, Detroit, Phoenix, Las Vegas and more. They’ll be back out in 2020 and have just announced spring dates on the East Coast, with stop in Boston, NYC, Toronto, Montreal, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia and Washington, DC.
