ASIAN DOLL

Asian Doll (aka Asian Da Brat) continues to rise, and she’s gearing up to head out on the ‘The UFC Tour’ later this month with support from Stevie B and $toney. The tour hits Austin, Miami, Atlanta, Brooklyn (Knitting Factory on 11/11), Denver, Seattle, Portland, LA, and more. All dates here.

MESSTHETICS

The Messthetics — the instrumental trio of experimental guitarist Anthony Pirog, and onetime Fugazi Rhythm section Joe Lally, and Brendan Canty — will be out on the road in December, with dates in the Southern US and Midwest. Stops include, Asheville, Knoxville, Memphis, Kansas City, Cincinnati, Morgantown, WV and more. Before that, Messthetics will be touring Australia. HALEY HEYNDERICKX

Haley Heynderickx will be playing a few shows with Lucy Dacus in December, including Boston, DC, and NYC’s Webster Hall on December 5. Right after those shows, Haley will play a few East Coast headlining shows, including Kingston, Philly, Providence, Portland, ME, Brooklyn (Sultan Room on December 14) and more. PALEHOUND (TOURING WITH BIG THIEF & MORE)

Palehound just released a new single, “Your Boyfriend’s Gun,” which coincides with the start of their tour with Big Thief (things kick off tonight at NYC’s Webster Hall). When that tour wraps up at the end of November, Palehound have a few headlining dates, playing Pittsburgh, Ithaca, and Holyoke, MA. All dates are here and listen to “Your Boyfriend’s Gun” below:

POWER TRIP

Power Trip have tons of tour dates coming up, including a North American run with High On Fire, their own festival in Dallas, in 2020, and a 2020 EU/UK run with Lamb of God and Kreator. They’ll also have a new exclusive tour 7″ flexi at the dates with High On Fire. All dates and more info here.

METALLICA

Metallica will headline five US festivals in 2020, playing two nights at each, and promising different setlists across all ten sets. They’re also holding their second annual charity concert in San Francisco on March 28, 2020; playing the big Live Aid-style Global Citizen Festival on September 26, 2020; and touring South America with Greta Van Fleet.

JOSH GONDELMAN

Comedian and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver writer Josh Gondelman just released his first book, Nice Try: Stories of Best Intentions and Mixed Results, and he’s got a few standup dates on the horizon, including a few NYC appearances, including October 15 and 20 at Eastville, and UCB’s “Adult Spelling Bee” on October 18. He’ll also be at North Adams, MA’s Mass MoCa in November, and Chicago in December. Head here for all dates.

GUNS N’ ROSES

Guns N’ Roses continue to slowly add dates, including headlining slots at the three South American Lollapaloozas in 2020, which also feature Lana Del Rey, The Strokes, Travis Scott, Vampire Weekend, and more. Meanwhile, their fall tour continues at ACL Fest and Exit 111 Fest this weekend. All GNR dates here.

SLEATER-KINNEY

Sleater-Kinney’s tour began last night (videos, setlist), but unfortunately Shamir had to drop off due to mental health issues. Stay tuned for news of a new opener (or new openers) for the upcoming shows.

LAURIE ANDERSON

Laurie Anderson was just named the Joe’s Pub 2020 Vanguard Artist and she’ll host a monthly residency at the venue from March through December next year.

DIIV

DIIV’s tour kicks off tonight in Las Vegas and now includes a second NYC show.
