Brooklyn cross-pollinators Ava Luna will be back with new album Moon 2 on September 7 via Western Vinyl. The first single is a glitchy bit of pop called "Deli Run" and you can stream that below. The band will be on tour in September, including a record release show at Brooklyn's Music Hall of Williamsburg on 9/8. Head here for all tour dates and tickets.
Beck's Colors tour resumes the first week of July, and it'll stop at NYC's Madison Square Garden on 7/17 with Glass Animals as openers. He's just added a few more dates in September in Minneapolis, St. Louis, Kansas City, MO, and Lincoln, NE. All those dates are with The Voidz. Updated tour dates are here.
THE MENZINGERS / TINY MOVING PARTS / DADDY ISSUES
Right after playing The Fest, Scranton punks The Menzingers are going on a just-announced headlining tour with Tiny Moving Parts and Daddy Issues.
MIDGE URE / PAUL YOUNG
Eighties hitmakers Paul Young and onetime Ultravox singer Midge Ure are on tour together, having played NYC earlier this month. They've just added more "Soundtrack of Your Life" shows for August and September, including dates in Vancouver, Seattle,, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas and more.
Speaking of the '80s, "She Blinded Me with Science" singer Thomas Dolby will be on the road this summer with a special tour where in addition to performing favorites, he'll "allow members of the audience to randomly pick songs from his 30-year catalog. He will tell the story behind the genesis of each, while simultaneously deconstructing its musical parts, synth sounds, and lyrics." All dates are here.
Having recently released new album World’s Strongest Man back in May, onetime Supergrass frontman Gaz Coombes will be on a solo tour this fall, and dates include two NYC shows.
Mutual Benefit, the nom de plume of singer-songwriter Jordan Lee, will release new album Thunder Follows the Light on September 21 via Transgressive. You can check out a live session rendition of the LP's "New History" below. Jordan and his Mutual Benefit band will be on tour this fall, and dates wrap up with a NYC show at Park Church Co-Op on December 8. All dates are here.
Grouper had just a few upcoming dates supporting her great new record Grid of Points, and her schedule just got slightly longer. In addition to Raleigh, NC's Hopscotch, her sold-out Brooklyn show on 9/12 at Murmrr Theatre, and Hudson, NY's Basilica Soundscape, she's got a just-added Brooklyn show happening September 17 at The Park Church Co-Op (tickets on sale 6/29 at 10 AM).
Megafaun's Phil Cook, who recently played Brooklyn's Rough Trade, has expanded his tour in support of his new solo album People Are My Drug. He's got several fall dates, including a return to NYC for a larger show at Bowery Ballroom on 10/23. All dates and tickets here.
Big Thief guitarist Buck Meek has once expanded his tour in support of his self-titled solo debut, which came out last month. He's got a newly-added Brooklyn show happening 9/11 at Union Pool. All dates (including some UK/EU shows with Courtney Marie Andrews) here.
TDE's Jay Rock announced a tour behind his great new album Redemption. Opening on all dates is Reason, who was on the TDE-produced Black Panther: The Album.
NWOBHM vets Satan are releasing their third album since reuniting and going on a US tour this year.

Emma Ruth Rundle announced a new album and tour. The album features contributions from Evan Patterson of Jaye Jayle, who Emma is also touring with.
FORTH WANDERERS (cancel tour)
Montclair, NJ indie rockers released their Sub Pop debut earlier this year, and they were supposed to go on a tour that would have included stops at Jack Antonoff's Shadow of the City festival in Asbury Park, Made In America festival in Philly, and more, but they cancelled all upcoming dates "due to a recently diagnosed mental health issue." The band posted this statement:
