EX HEX / FRANKIE & THE WITCH FINGERS

Ex Hex have added more shows to their 2019 tour, including a new NYC show: August 17 at Industry City Courtyard, which is part of the City Farm Summer Series. That show, and most of their summer dates, are with LA. band Frankie & The Witch Fingers. All dates are here.

THIS IS NOT THIS HEAT – FINAL SHOWS

This Heat founding members Charles Bullen and Charles Hayward starting playing together again as This is Not This Heat in 2016 to celebrate the group’s 40th anniversary and they’ve kept playing…but that’s about to end. Having already played their final UK show, they’ve just announced their “final international dates” including Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and NYC.

U2 (INTERNATIONAL ‘JOSHUA TREE’ DATES)

U2 are still squeezing a few more drops out of The Joshua Tree, having announced a few more international dates where they’ll play the album in full. Shows happen in New Zealand and Australia in November with Noel Gallagher supporting, and Japan and South Korea in December. All dates are here.

HOT WATER MUSIC

Hot Water Music just returned to Epitaph for the first time since 2004 with the release of their new EP Shake Up The Shadows, and they’ve spent much of the year on tour celebrating their 25th anniversary and they’ve added more shows including a second NYC date.

SPARROWS / THE DROWNED GOD

Following a string of releases produced by Moneen’s Kenny Bridges, Toronto post-hardcore/emo band Sparrows teamed with I Am The Avalanche’s Brett “The Ratt” Romnes for their upcoming album Failed Gods, due August 9 via Sound Anxiety. The eerie lead single “A Little Crowded Death” just came out and you can watch the video below. Sparrows are also touring the US with Philly’s post-rocky post-hardcore band The Drowned God, kicking things off on Long Island on June 14 and then hitting West Haven, Philly, Gainesville, Atlanta, Chicago, Buffalo, and more. BONOBO ‘OUTLIER’ EVENTS

Bonobo (aka Simon Green) is touring this summer, including special events with his OUTLIER series, and bringing along DJ Harvey, Tokimonsta, Mall Grab, Machinedrum, Derrick Carter and more at select shows. North American dates incliude Montreal (June 22), Chicago (July 6), Denver (August 2), San Francisco (August 3) and an NYC show at The Brooklyn Mirage on August 17 with Tourist, J-E-T-S (Jimmy Edgar & Machinedrum), Quantic (DJ Set), Catching Flies, Lindstrøm. KID CONGO & THE PINK MONKEY BIRDS

Former Cramps and Bad Seeds member Kid Congo Powers and his band The Pink Monkey Birds will be on tour in June with Slim Cessna’s Auto Club. It’s a 10th anniversary celebration of their 2009 album Dracula Boots and they’ll be playing it in full in such cities as Phoenix, Tucson, Vegas, San Diego, San Francisco, Salt Lake City and Denver. Then this fall, they’ll be on tour with Mudhoney, including the Brooklyn show at Market Hotel on 10/19. All dates are here and listen to Dracula Boots below:

PIP BLOM

Dutch group Pip Blom release their debut album, Boat, tomorrow and have just announced their first U.S. tour.

TOGETHER PANGEA

Together Pangea’s new EP ’Dispassionate’ is out May 31 and they’ll be on tour this summer with Vudabar, Dehd, Tijuana Panthers and Ultra Q.
