CEREMONY
Shapeshifting punk/post-punk band Ceremony recently released their very fun new album In The Spirit World Now, and they continue to add tour dates supporting it. They're making a previously announced NYC appearance at Thrasher x Vans Death Match at Knockdown Center on 10/5, and they just added a Death Match After Show happening later that same night at Saint Vitus. They also play Rocket From the Crypt's hometown Halloween mini-fest on 10/25 at House of Blues San Diego (tickets and lineup), as well as Home Sick 3 in Pomona and Berkeley with Joyce Manor, Drab Majesty, and Full of Hell. SWERVEDRIVER
Swervedriver's fall tour starts next week in San Diego (10/10) and the shoegaze vets have a added a couple shows to the middle of the trek: Hamilton, ON on 10/25 and Toronto on 10/26. That's right after the band's two NYC-area shows (NYC's Le Poisson Rouge on 10/22 and Asbury Park's House of Independents on 10/23). All dates are here.
M3F FESTIVAL 2020 LINE-UP (BON IVER, MORE)
Nonprofit Phoenix, AZ festival M3F happens March 6-8 at Hance Park. Bon Iver is headlining, and though it's admittedly not the most exciting lineup overall, it is for a good cause, with 100% of proceeds going to local charities. Other acts on the lineup include The Growlers, Local Natives, Mayer Hawthorne, The Infamous Stringdusters, Generationals, and more.
SPENCER
Brooklyn-via-Rochester singer/producer Spencer. just signed to 4AD and his first single for the indie powerhouse is “Automatic,” a hazy, soulful, retro-meets-now song that finds the middle ground between alt-R&B and chillwave. He’s also opening Gus Dapperton’s upcoming tour.
SiR
Inglewood R&B/soul singer SiR recently released his new album Chasing Summer on TDE (featuring Kendrick Lamar, Smino, Lil Wayne, Kadhja Bonet, Jill Scott, and more), and now he announced the Summer Forever Tour. Dates start in Boston on December 2, and then hits NYC's Brooklyn Steel on December 3, with shows following in Toronto, DC, Miami, Chicago, San Diego, San Francisco and Los Angeles. Murder By Death will go on a 20th anniversary tour in Feb/March 2020.
