CHLOE X HALLE

Beyonce proteges Chloe x Halle (who released their debut album earlier this year) are opening Beyonce & Jay-Z’s “On the Run II” tour, which started last night and hits the NYC-area on 8/2 & 8/3 at MetLife Stadium. They also added some small headlining shows, including one at NYC’s Bowery Ballroom the day before the MetLife shows begin (8/1). All dates here.

MR TWIN SISTER

Multiple announcements from Brooklyn smooth disco outfit Mr. Twin Sister today. They have a new single, “Echo Arms,” which is laid back and groovy with lush strings which you can listen to below. They’ve also just launched MTS RADIO, “the only 24/7 radio streaming platform curated and controlled by Mr Twin Sister” where you can “hear fresh daily mixes, unreleased MTS obscurities, classic MTS and MTS-approved albums, and more.” Currently the station is playing “Echo Arms” on a loop, but that’s just for the first day. They’ve also announced a fall tour that kicks off October 18 in Alston, MA and concludes with two nights at LA’s Zebulon on November 16 & 17. There’s a Brooklyn show, too, at Elsewhere Hall on October 25. All dates are listed here.

AT THE GATES / WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM

Swedish melodeath legends At the Gates and US black metal staples Wolves in the Throne Room are opening Behemoth’s tour this year, and they also added some smaller shows together interspersed throughout that tour, including stops in San Diego, Albany, Cleveland, and more. Dates and tickets here.

ANNIHILATION TIME

Oakland punks Annihilation Time are reissuing their 2005 sophomore album via Tee Pee on September 21, pressing it on clear purple vinyl and it comes with a poster, too. The band are also heading to the East Coast in August during Skull Fest in Pittsburgh where they’ll play two shows (one with Cro Mags). Annihilation Time will then hit NYC for two night at Brooklyn Bazaar. In addition to the 8/24 show with Hank Wood & The Hammerheads, Extended Hell and more; and the next night (8/25) they’ll play with Impalers, Dark Thoughts, Aggression Pact, and Subversive Rite. SICK OF IT ALL

NYHC vets Sick Of It All are on tour now and also just expanded their tour, adding two hometown shows (a free House of Vans show opening for Pennywise, and a Rocks Off cruise).

UNIFORM (with DEAFHEAVEN, then THOU)

NYC noisecore rippers Uniform are on tour now opening for Deafheaven, having just played Brooklyn Steel (pics, review). They now added another Brooklyn show, and this one is opening for Thou, whose new EP Rhea Sylvia comes out on Deathwish on Friday. Sunrot are on that show too, making for a pretty cool bill all around. Uniform’s new album The Long Walk (their first with a drummer) comes out August 17 via Sacred Bones. All Uniform dates here. THE MOLOCHS

Los Angeles band The Molochs, who combine ’60s psychedelia with ’90s Madchester/Britpop, have a new LP on the way will be on tour in August, staying on the West Coast mainly.
